Connect LOXE with Cloudbeds

This guide explains how to create your LOXE account through Cloudbeds Marketplace, connect your property, understand the data flow, and disconnect the integration.

Last updated August 25, 2026

Before you connect

You need a Cloudbeds user account authorized to connect Marketplace apps. No separate LOXE signup is required: approving LOXE in Cloudbeds creates the property and its first LOXE administrator automatically.

Sign up for LOXE and connect Cloudbeds

  1. 1

    Open LOXE in Cloudbeds Marketplace

Sign in to Cloudbeds, open the Marketplace, find LOXE, and select Connect App.

  2. 2

    Review and approve access

Review the permissions requested by LOXE, then select Allow Access. You must be authorized to connect apps for the property or group.

  3. 3

    Let the automated setup finish

Cloudbeds sends LOXE a single-use authorization code. LOXE securely exchanges it for an API key, creates or updates each authorized property, registers webhooks, and imports room types and rooms.

  4. 4

    Check your welcome email

After setup succeeds, an email containing the LOXE administrator login and temporary generated password will be sent to the property contact. Use those credentials to sign in to LOXE Hotel.

  5. 5

    Schedule your account setup review

Book a call with the LOXE team so we can review your imported property and rooms, connect supported locks or encoders, and configure check-in invitations, key delivery, and automation rules together.

What the integration does

Cloudbeds remains the source of truth for reservation and guest data. LOXE uses that data to operate the guest journey and access workflow.

  • Creates or updates the LOXE property using the hotel profile authorized in Cloudbeds.
  • Imports Cloudbeds room types and physical rooms into LOXE.
  • Imports new and changed reservations, dates, statuses, room assignments, and guest contact details.
  • Processes reservation and guest changes in near real time through webhooks.
  • Runs a five-minute reconciliation sync to recover missed or delayed notifications.
  • Triggers LOXE check-in invitations and digital-key or passcode workflows when those automations are enabled for the property.
  • Supports a Cloudbeds group authorization: every property available to the issued API key can be enrolled as a separate LOXE property.

Current limitations

  • The integration currently reads operational data from Cloudbeds. LOXE does not write rates, availability, payments, folios, guest details, or reservation changes back to Cloudbeds.
  • The initial reservation reconciliation uses a recent change window. It is not a complete import of the property's entire reservation history.
  • Cloudbeds room inventory is imported, but supported locks, gateways, encoders, and access rules must still be configured in LOXE.
  • Guest messages, online check-in invitations, and keys are sent only when the corresponding LOXE features and automation settings are enabled.
  • Virtual Cloudbeds rooms are not imported as physical LOXE doors.

Disconnect LOXE from Cloudbeds

LOXE does not currently offer a disconnect control inside LOXE Hotel. Disconnect the app from Cloudbeds:

  1. 1.Sign in to Cloudbeds and open Manage Apps.
  2. 2.Locate LOXE and choose Disconnect App.
  3. 3.Confirm the disconnection when Cloudbeds asks you to proceed.

What happens after disconnecting

Cloudbeds revokes the API key and removes the integration's webhook subscriptions. New Cloudbeds changes stop syncing to LOXE. Existing LOXE property, room, guest, booking, and audit records are retained so the hotel does not lose its operational history. Contact LOXE support if you also need the LOXE property disabled or data removed. To reconnect, authorize LOXE again in Cloudbeds Marketplace; LOXE refreshes the existing property's credentials and setup instead of creating a duplicate.

Get support

Email LOXE for connection, onboarding, room-import, reservation-sync, or key-delivery issues. Include the property name, Cloudbeds Property ID, affected reservation ID, approximate time, and screenshots or error text. Never email an API key or password.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create a LOXE account before connecting?+

No. The Cloudbeds Marketplace connection creates the LOXE property and first administrator automatically. The property contact receives the login details by email after setup succeeds.

How quickly do Cloudbeds changes appear in LOXE?+

Supported reservation and guest events are normally processed through webhooks shortly after Cloudbeds sends them. LOXE also reconciles Cloudbeds every five minutes.

Can one Cloudbeds group connect multiple properties?+

Yes. If Cloudbeds issues an API key authorized for multiple properties, LOXE enrolls each authorized property separately. Each property receives its own rooms, bookings, webhook subscriptions, and LOXE administration context.

Will reconnecting create a duplicate hotel?+

No. LOXE identifies an enrollment by Cloudbeds PMS and Property ID. Reconnecting refreshes the existing property's API key, metadata, webhooks, room types, and rooms.

Does connecting Cloudbeds activate smart locks?+

No. It imports rooms and reservation data. A supported lock, gateway, encoder, or passcode provider must be configured in LOXE before access can be issued.
