Before you connect
You need a Mews user authorized to manage Marketplace integrations for the property. No separate LOXE signup is required: connecting LOXE in Mews sends the property and accommodation-service authorization needed to create your LOXE account.
Sign up for LOXE and connect Mews
- 1
Open LOXE in Mews Marketplace
Sign in to Mews Operations, open Marketplace, find LOXE, and start the connection.
- 2
Select the accommodation service and approve access
Choose the accommodation service LOXE should synchronize and approve the requested permissions. You must be authorized to connect integrations for the property.
- 3
Let the automated setup finish
Mews sends LOXE the integration authorization. LOXE securely retrieves the property profile, stores the Access Token and selected accommodation Service ID, and creates the LOXE property and its first administrator.
- 4
Check your welcome email
After setup succeeds, an email containing the LOXE administrator login and temporary generated password will be sent to the property contact. Use those credentials to sign in to LOXE Hotel.
- 5
Schedule your account setup review
Book a call with the LOXE team so we can review your property, import and verify room types and rooms, connect supported locks or encoders, and configure check-in, key delivery, messaging, and automation rules together.

What the integration does
Mews remains the source of truth for reservations, guests, accommodation inventory, and room status. LOXE uses that data to operate the guest journey and access workflow, with selected actions sent back to Mews.
- Creates the LOXE property from the enterprise and accommodation service authorized in Mews.
- Imports Mews accommodation categories as room types and physical spaces as rooms.
- Imports reservation numbers, dates, statuses, room assignments, and guest contact details.
- Processes reservation and room-status changes in near real time through a persistent Mews WebSocket connection.
- Runs a five-minute reconciliation sync and WebSocket health check to recover delayed updates or reconnect an interrupted stream.
- Maps Mews reservation states to the corresponding LOXE booking lifecycle, including confirmed, checked in, checked out, and cancelled stays.
- Can start a reservation in Mews and add access-code notes or guest messages when the corresponding LOXE workflow is enabled.
- Can use supported Mews payment and key-cutter features when they are separately configured for the property.

Current limitations
- LOXE does not replace Mews as the PMS and does not manage rates, availability, housekeeping assignments, invoices, or reservation editing in Mews.
- The initial reservation reconciliation uses a recent change window. It is not a complete import of the property's entire reservation history.
- Only the accommodation service selected during connection is synchronized for the property.
- Room inventory can be imported from Mews, but supported locks, gateways, encoders, and access rules must still be configured in LOXE.
- Guest messages, online check-in invitations, Mews write-back, payments, and keys operate only when the corresponding LOXE features and permissions are configured.
Disconnect LOXE from Mews
LOXE does not currently offer a self-service disconnect control inside LOXE Hotel. Disconnect the integration from Mews Operations:
- 1.Sign in to Mews Operations and open Marketplace.
- 2.Open My subscriptions or connected integrations and select LOXE.
- 3.Choose Disconnect or Unsubscribe and confirm the action.
- 4.Contact LOXE support if you also want the LOXE property disabled or its retained data removed.
What happens after disconnecting
Mews withdraws LOXE's integration access, so new reservation and room-status changes stop synchronizing and LOXE can no longer send configured actions to Mews. Existing LOXE property, room, guest, booking, and audit records are retained to preserve operational history. To reconnect, connect LOXE again in Mews Marketplace and contact LOXE so the account, accommodation service, rooms, and live connection can be reviewed before going live again.
Get support
Email LOXE for connection, onboarding, room-import, reservation-sync, payment, or key-delivery issues. Include the property name, Mews Enterprise ID or accommodation Service ID, affected reservation number, approximate time, and screenshots or error text. Never email an Access Token or password.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create a LOXE account before connecting?+
No. Connecting LOXE in Mews Marketplace creates the LOXE property and first administrator automatically. The property contact receives login details by email after setup succeeds.
How quickly do Mews changes appear in LOXE?+
Supported reservation and room events are normally processed shortly after Mews sends them over the live WebSocket connection. LOXE also reconciles reservations and checks connection health every five minutes.
Does LOXE send information back to Mews?+
For configured workflows, LOXE can start a Mews reservation, add access-code notes and guest messages, update supported key-cutter commands, and use separately configured Mews payment features. LOXE does not replace normal reservation, rate, availability, invoice, or housekeeping management in Mews.
Can I connect more than one Mews property?+
Yes. Each Mews property and accommodation service is connected as its own LOXE property. Contact LOXE during onboarding so access and administration are organized correctly for the hotel group.
Does connecting Mews activate smart locks?+
No. It authorizes PMS data synchronization. A supported lock, gateway, encoder, or passcode provider must be configured in LOXE before access can be issued.
